On Sunday past it was my 39th Birthday and I got to spend it watching the Master of Makeup Patrick Ta give a masterclass at Image Beauty Fest in Dublin with my bestie Grainne Phillips Pro Makeup Artist.
He was better than I expected and such a down to earth fella. I actually was nervous which totally surprised me. Patrick is makeup artist to Shay Mitchell, Gigi and Bella Hadid. I was so excited to learn what he uses for their base which I will definitely be applying to my clients going forward who are looking that glowly look.
Patrick's advice for makeup artist was to put yourself, ask to do celebrity makeup's he got a lucky break with Shay Mitchell after sending her DM's and he grew from there.
We got to try out his new beauty brand which is been launched in selected Sephora's his range includes body glow oil which are to die for in 3 different shades, Major Glow Lip Shine in 3 different shades also and he is also launching a highlighting mist. These will be on my shopping list.
The lips he done on his beautiful model Maria was lipliner Cherry by Mac and Unsensored by Fenty which is also a firm favourite of mine for brides. He also loves Soap Brows like myself.
His signature scent is Maison Francis Kurkdjjan Baccarat Rouge 540 which is €195 for 70ml - he has expensive taste.
I could of watched Patrick work all day long, he has minimum 3 hours to do celebrity faces for red carpet events. He also shared with us that he got the sack from Mac Makeup because he was taking too long to do a makeup application. That's when he decided to go Freelance..
